I just heard today that Canon US was going to drop the price on the 5D on Monday...no rebate required. It's likely that it drops by $350 just like Canada. The rep said he didn't anticipate US rebates this year.

It won't take long to confirm or reject the rumor.

I just checked B&H this morning. The 5D dropped $200.00. I don't know about any others as that is the one I have been watching.

I'm buying the 5D and the 24-702.8L this week. Does anyone have any other info regarding rebates that would make me want to wait?

I'm happy with the $200.00 drop, but of course would love even more!

Poor Canadians.. got such a better dollar than we do but everything still costs more in Canadian $'s
