I need your advise. I'm thinking of putting an advertisement in a magazine. This is the first time that I'm doing it. Do you think this layout is good enough, bad, boring, need more improvement or need more wordings?
Any advise is appreciated.
Thank you for stopping by and for looking.

What magazine is this going in?

No offense intended, but it looks like the majority of ads that the majority of photographers place in magazines. There really isn't anything that speaks of who you are or what you're about.

I'm going to look at your site and give you some more info that I think will help.

Too busy. The overlay of the smaller image on the large image means I don't konw where to rest my eyes. The images detract from each other, rather than being a part of a cohesive whole.

Pare it down. Think about going with one single image. Failing that, choose mulitiple images, but don't overlay them - think about a strong graphical design instead.

Allow for more "white space" (doesn't have to be *white* - just blank space used for effect).

I personally would lose the drop shadows - I thnk they're dated. But you have to judge the tastes of your client base as well.

Hope that helps some.

I was thinking it looked dated, too. My question is are you trying to sell to brides in Hawaii or destination brides coming to Hawaii? I think image 14 on your website would be a much better image to use with 41 being another choice.

Jose,
I agree with Karen 100%.

And I feel that you should choose 1 image - your 'best' image.
An image that will speak to your intended audience.

Use that image alone, with the negative space Karen spoke about.
Use your logo, and web address... that should do it.

Simple is best and always feels more 'higher-end'.
If you need inspiration, simply look at any bridal magazine and look at ads NOT made by photographers. thumbsup.gif

Thank you guys.
Should I just remove the small pictures in the front and add more wordings? Or should I completely change the pictures?
