Zack Arias's OneLight Workshop in Raleigh was amazing. He's an incredible teacher and there is just a ton of real value in his presentation and hands-on shooting experience. You will think twice about putting your flash on-camera.
There's also value in hosting. I got a lot of one-on-one time with Zack and it was an absolute pleasure to watch him sleep at night. Just kidding, but not really.
I also made some amazing new friends and connections with people all around the state and beyond. Thanks, Zack for a truly awesome experience.
Here are a few shots from the Raleigh OneLight:

After the OneLight, I really had to bust my butt to get ready for Shoot with Beckstead in Wilmington. It was unreal and I really can't believe more people didn't take advantage of this opportunity.
I got to spend 2+ hours on the drive down with Beckstead. He's incredibly down to earth and just a funny and fun guy. I was so scared I was going to screw up his workshop, but it came together so well. We hit three fantastic locations: The Bellamy Mansion, the U.S.S. North Carolina and downtown Wilmington for some really cool urban pics.
Here are a few from that workshop:

So, for me, these workshops were about me taking my imagery to the next level. I know it's not always financially feasible to spend a lot on workshops, but I think everyone needs to think about picking at least one a year that really speaks to them. And don't be afraid to host: If a scatter-brained fool like me can do it, anyone can.
