I think you can but good luck getting it back into the container it was shipped in. I think they expand or something when you take them out.
I did see this video on you tube about a problem with the units though. For some reason, they tend to seize up and make this bizarre sound under certain circumstances but no one seems to be able to anticipate the conditions in which the sound will appear. It's not unpleasant...in fact it's quite a tantalizing sound, but when it's happening, it appears impossible to ignore the sound. Incredible stuff.
Unit WarningThey've not found any completely effective firmware update to address it. However, it seems that if the waste disposal sleeve gets filled from either the solid waste receptacle or the liquid release valve the aofrementioned sounds stop for a little while. Apparently, if you don't attend to the disposal sleeve posthaste, it begins to emit a warning klaxon. It's pretty intense.
