Hi,

I was hoping that someone could help me with my lightroom library. I was saving a collection and the program closed automatically. When I reopened it... All of my folder, images and files were gone. It was as if I had never used the program before and not imported anything. Any suggestions as to what could be going on and what I could do to get my images back?

Thanks in advance!!

If you were imporing them from another drive, or a card, they should still be there. There are two options, import into lightroom library or link to them where they are (like on a harddrive or disk) either way lightroom doesn't delete files from the import spot.

It doesnt' sound like LR closed automagically it sounds like it crashed, if it was importing and it hadn't finished then it may not have had time to write the import to it's db. In which case you will just have to do it again.

With the info you gave above that's what this sounds like, no big deal, just redo.

hope this helps some

Hi Melissa,

Thanks so much for the help -- I had to shut the computer down and reopen lightroom. All the files were still in their original locations on my HD so they were safe. All have now been reloaded back into lightroom.

Thanks again!!
