Uh oh, they just released the new firmware for the iPhone adding the iTunes store. As if I don't spend enough money already, not I am going to be spending even more on mobile music downloads Woo Hoo. Now if only they would release a firmware update adding the nike+ipod onto the iPhone.

I've been wanting to put some 3rd party apps on mine but I've been hearing that the new firmwares can Ibrick it.

That is true, when adding this updated firmware, it says that if you have modded your phone from any of those third party software apps, that you phone will become unusable and will not be covered under the apple warranty.

For those who don't want to read the link, a hack of 1.1.1 is coming (maybe) and the hackers found references in the updated software to com.apple.mobile.nike (possible evidence that the nike+iphone sport kit is on the horizon).

I wonder if it'd be premature to order a custom pair of pink&black nike+ compatible running shoes.... This is the one thing I've been waiting for, even more than louder text/email notifications and voice dialling (my other iphone wishlist items)
