OK, first things first. PLEASE ignore the godaddy.com banner at the top of the page. It will be removed when I'm finally happy with the site and actually pay to host it.

Now, here's the site: www.scottbolster.com

I used to operate as SDB Design. I am going to focus on photography now so I got rid of the "Design".

The logo is really simple, obviously, but not necessarily complete. I would like to incorporate a camera or lens into the logo. So far my drafts have all looked pretty cheesy.

I want to keep the site clean and simple. I don't have any galleries yet, as I don't have many photos to use. As I get more work, I will add photo galleries in addition to the simple slideshows.

Enough rambling. Any ideas, suggestions, or criticizm?

Thanks,
Scott

Clean and simple -
however I'm buggin about going to you're section for Wedding or Portrait and not knowing this is a slideshow. When I open that page up I first think it's just a picture sitting there - anyway to signify that it's a slideshow and more pictures are coming would be good.
I know that the next picture came up but I left the page and barely noticed it change and went back and looked at the rest of the images. Potential clients could close the window if they're as impatient as I was...

Excellent point - thank you. Maybe something like moving dots across the bottom or is that too much?

Good job!--I'm not really into the font though...

The font in the logo, on the page, or both?

I added some "dots" to the wedding slideshow. Better or worse?

I don't see any change. Any way to add controls to so the viewer can go forward or back or just stop it?

I'll see what I can do. I'm still learning Flash. The slide show was pretty easy, the controls will take a little more time.

There's a program out that I've used that makes this process a cinch -
Slide Show Pro... $25 (simple slideshows) - makes the process you're doing much easier...

(or) another little program out there called Showit Web... I heard it's pretty good.. ha-ha.

OK, I've changed my logo and the fonts. I also have a green bar on the slideshows indicating a picture is loading.

I may still try ShowIt Web and/or put controls on the slideshow.

Does it look OK now?

Your logo appears to be a faded "B" Hmm... maybe it's just me.

Great start though!
