Hi!
I wonder, what do you, guys, offer to your clients on their first anniversary? How do you stay in touch? Please, share your stuff.

I'm glad you asked this. I'm trying to come up with something more creative than print credits!

I've thought about providing a 5x5 asukabook of pictures of just the two of them from their wedding (and maybe their engagement session). They are time consuming to order, but if I did it during the off-season and just kept them until their first-year anniversary then it probably wouldn't seem like such a task.

I don't offer anything. I send a card just to keep me in their minds but I don't offer a thing. I do however offer a free portrait session every 5 years they stay together. You can figure out my reasoning for that by reading
this blog posting.

an aniversary card and an offer for a $250 album credit (if they are still waiting) or a $100 print credit if they already have their album.

An anniversary portrait and 1 8x10. They always come back for that. Then they come for their new baby portraits. And then I've got clients for life. I hope. I mean, I haven't done this for a lifetime yet.

Is it a free session? In studio?

I'm offering a free one-year anniversary session or a free family session. I know it is giong to take up some time; but I think it is incredibly important to stay in contact with my couples. Plus it will be a fun way to see how far they have come in a year.
