Thanks Jason for your sweet post! I've been so inspired by these women. And I think the hardest part is not giving them all a free pass b/c they are all so deserving of it. I'm amazed at what moms endure and all the while giving their whole heart to their family. And I'm especially blown away by the moms who were former workshp attendees and both emailed on their own to help bless these women even more. It just blows me away! We'll definitly do the "Running on Empty" contest again for upcoming workshops.

I just got an email from Jesse. She is so excited! I can't wait to meet this amazing woman in person! She's got to feel so loved with how many people supported her winning.

one of these days, one of these days. Jess, I think the best part is that your family is doing well, and people still support you taking a break! That's what I loved most about all the people who nominated you. Sometimes people think we need a break when we're in the thick of it, but what about when you're out of the eye of the storm and just tired as all get out. Can't wait to meet you!

I shared this thought with a few people privately, but I'd like to take up a collection to fly your daughter to New Jersey so I can give her a workshop in handheld video techniques! She also seemed to have a little trouble with backlight, but that will be covered in my Spring workshop!!!!

To be honest, while the video was playing I was thinking, "Man, how could such a talented photographer have such a low-end video clip? Maybe it's the whole YouTube influence." Then I read that your six year-old shot it!

That was pretty funny!

But you have to know I left out the best parts, like when Blaze jumped on me or Pascaline said "Mom, you've said that whole part enough, move on!" Where do these kids get their spunk!!!????
