I took these while walking along the top of the 80 ft. walls that encircle this old city.

I love these!
I was there on vacation in 1989 and I always wondered how the old part of Dubrovnik survived the war in the early 90's. Looks pretty much like it did when I was there. Is it in good shape or not?

Thanks so much guys! The city had a LOT of damage done to it! When walking around the little shops I encountered tons of books with photographs of the city in the midst of the attacks. Tons of crazy images of buildings on fire and huge chunks taken out of the walls... Incredible! A lot has been done in the years after the war to repair the damage that was done so it looks much better now... The only thing that kept the place intact through it all was the MASSIVE wall that encircles the city. It really protected the place and stood so well for being so old--very very impressive. It is an incredible place to visit!!!

Thanks for sharing the images! I would enjoy hearing more about your experience there. This is one of the cities I hope to visit one day. My father's family came to the US from Croatia.
