smile.gif Here's my check from last month.

Not every month is $1,700 but some are bigger and some are smaller...and the greatest thing about it is that I didn't have to do any of the work for this! Most of this check came from a $2,000 order from a wedding 2 years ago!

Again, Pictage isn't for everyone but it has worked well for me and many others.

awesome...though i won't show you my last check from instaproofs from the last 2 WEEKS...

Awesome - As long as you're outsourcing and you don't have to do the work I think that's great. If you have to be part of the process then it's a buzzkill.

Keep finding ways to create freedom in your life!

Whaaa? Pictage just more than halved their monthly fee this year. If $99 dollars a month is eating into your profit, I wouldn't use Pictage at all... it doesn't make sense for low-volume/budget studios.

When I joined pictage about 5 years ago, they had a $50 membership option.

But I finally had to leave Pictage because of CS. EVERY issue I ever had was my fault. Images over sharpened.....? Oh, well we like them that way. Images too dark? Must be your monior. Over charged for something? We'll get to it when we get to it.

In theory Pictage is brilliant. If they would actually FIX the issues they say they are "working on" (that became a running joke while I was still with them)...... I would come back in a heartbeat. I love that they do it all..... but sometimes thats the downfall. You can't be good at EVERYTHING.

If they would allow me to fulfill my own orders at my own lab, they would have me back. no question.
(oh, and if they could just hire people to answer the phone who don't sound and act like sullen teenagers... gggrrr that used to bug me!!)

soapbox anyone? w00t.gif

Digi labs has amazing print quality, I pay a little extra to get the color correct on some since I shoot raw and the paper is think and the colors are right on every time.

I saw my print sales increase 5x last holiday season from the season before, even after accounting for the monthly fee. That is amazing to me - I did much less work and got paid a lot more. And the freedom gave me time to grow my business, shoot more, and my business has increased so much in the last year it is unbelievable.

I get a check from Pictage every month - even in the slow months when I haven't done much work. WOW! I just got an order for prints from the very first event I uploaded to Pictage in March 2006. A portrait client who didn't order much. That's an order I never would have seen before.

I love how Pictage backs up my files. I accidentally deleted a whole event off my hard drive thinking it was backed up already. I was wrong. 10 minutes after I discovered my mistake, I had everything back on my computer via FTP from Pictage.
