Linda
Sorry in advance to all the puter gurus for such a dumb question.

I have been using the reg cd's to burn images. So Pictage gets a million cd's from me.. lol..
A friend asked me why not burn to dvd's with more space.
I'm thinking well Dahhh.. why not.
Anyhow, Ive tried to copy reg jpeg files to a dvd and I keep getting an error message.

I have xp.

I save all the files in "My pictures" then click copy to cd.

I even tried pulling the file into the dvd in " My computer"

Nothing seems to work.

Any suggestions?

TIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Linda,
This is a common problem but easy to fix. 'Windows' for whatever reason, will not burn to a DVD. You need a third party software.
Many times software will come with your DVD burner.
I use Roxio.

Is your burner a DVD burner?

You'll need to be on Roxio 6 or newer. I just downloaded Roxio Easy Media Creator 7.5 about a month ago -- $99 with a $30 rebate = $69. It comes bundled with a bunch of applications that I like (like Videowave -- great for DVD slideshows and d-video)...but what I don't like is that Roxio is getting REALLY good at blocking you from ripping copy guarded music! That's frustrating when I PAY to download a song but can't put it on the choice of media that I want.

THANKS ALISHA!!!!
I do have the software!..
I dont load it because It conflicts for some reason with my other cd driver?? Dont know what the deals is with that.

And yeah Bumatay its a burner. I had to laugh though when I saw that. Because I can see me trying to burn to a non-writable one then wondering why it wont work. huh.gif

And I do have the Roxio program. Heck I never have used it. My Brother gave it to me sometime back. I would have sent it to you had I known you needed it. Save ya a buck or two. biggrin.gif

Thanks you guys!
