I've been kickin' around this place for a while now and after seeing DJ speak at a convention last week i decided that was the shove i needed to just start posting and get to know everyone. i have to say i was a bit hesitate because other boards i have joined haven't been so nice and i often felt very timid for fear i would get eaten alive!!!! but from what i can see (and what dj says!) this place isn't a place to be scared of... so YAY! im happy to be here..
i am portfolio building in my business right now.. i still feel like i have TONS to learn and i'm sure i'll be asking MANY questions around here! things have taken off FAR more then i ever expected so soon (thats not a complaint!!) i just wasn't prepared!
a little about me on the personal side:
i was an elementary school teacher until i had my son last year - i nannied for the first year of my sons life and brought him with me everyday which is when my photography (beginning of) business really started rolling - i had people asking every weekend to do pictures of their kids or families locally! at the end of the contract in the spring my husband and i decided to take a leap of faith and follow my passion.....
i'm from about 20 minutes north of boston -- the movie The Perfect Storm was filmed in my town -- thats our claim to fame!
i love meeting new people, i love sharing any information that might be helpful to someone else, i love learning!
i look forward to getting to know all of you! thanks for establishing such a rockin' place!
