Need a little more to go on here. Some discs can be printed on directly with home printers. Some people have custom silk screened ones made. What type are you asking about? A picture would be helpful if you have one.
Oh nevermind, see you are posting in the showit-DVD section. I haven't seen one yet so can't help ya, sorry. Ignore me now, I'll go back to my hole.

Hey Emilie

- We have printable disks so there are no labels or anything like that.

Hi DJ,
I know you print on them, silly. Sorry... let me claify: Do you have a special printer for them?
I'm tired of using labels on discs and am not a fan of Lightscibe's monotone printing.
Have a great weekend!
hugs,
em

Emilie,
I have an Epson R260, I believe, that I use to print on my CDs and DVDs. It has a tray to hold the disk. You can pick one up for around $80 if you can find it. The higher numbered models have the same capability. Locally, I can only find matte finish disks but I've seen glossy finish on line. I haven't ordered them yet to see how they print. The matte look real nice though.
