biggrin.gif Actually I don't know that we were ever against the idea - we just didn't think it was possible as our cameras only shoot in RAW, not RAW + JPEG.

Thank God that it's worked out! Basically, as long as it is a sit-down reception, we've got enough time to do it!

Nope -- it isn't designed for dvd. Computer/website only.

Excellent movie. I noticed that it as predominantly B&W photos and that works well. What motivied you to go mostly B&W?

Hey David! Memories on TV or Photodex might be good options for that!

A couple of reasons... I don't always like to do too much with other effects, so a switch to black and white or sepia is the alternative!

Black and white also does a great job of taking a shot with a bad background and allowing you to concentrate on the subject, as well as taking what may be a blown-out image and saving it.

It's also a great medium for a simple, fine-art piece!

Kudos to being able to decipher what I was asking. Geeze my fat fingers really butchered that question.

Thanks for the response -- you opened me up to having more B&W images than what I would have considered using before.

We shot alot (ALOT) of b&W film when we were film shooters... when we turn out the final product now, we are still at about 50/50. I prefer B&W over color by far!! And clients LOVE it! They love the fine art feel of B&W images... or maybe that's me that likes that smile.gif

Great photography, as usual. I'm curious, though. . .why is everyone using the same generic music in Showit? (Does anyone else think the music is weak?) Can you use other songs?
amber holritz
You can use other songs... but have to find some we like first... working on that... most royalty free stuff sucks sad.gif

I actually like that song though...

I'm am working on some sepia effects for showit right now. Love to have your input or include your favorite sepia process.

You can use other songs and there is several threads in the Showit Web section talking about how to do that...and the songs we had written have actually been LOVED by almost everyone and I've gotten tons of emails of people asking to be connected up with the guy who composed those songs.

Keep in mind when you present these shows to clients they haven't seen 58 other slideshows (in the last week) so the music is new and great for them....I know for us it gets old after you hear it a bunch but clients love it.

DJ,
You're right about someone viewing and hearing the slideshow for the first time. . .it'll bring tears, just as Amber stated. I just think that the photographic beauty is not matched by the music, at least with that one song. From an objective standpoint, they appear to be on different levels of artistry. Matching a great song to those images would blow everyone away. (Of course, you're faced with the music licensing issue) mellow.gif
