+1000

we're going to PARADISE to find our roots in photography. being 100% digital, we have it SOO easy (thanks to the chimp screen) and we can as easily take photography for granted. we'll be keeping our feet grounded in sand and john will be there to strengthen our foundation.

honestly - if we didn't have the chimp screen, how many people would be able to shoot "blind"?

I want to go so so so so so so badly...
but with 6 kids, fat mortgage, resposiblity and no money... I cannot. unsure.gif

*sigh - I too love film.
And I love the way film canisters smell when you first open them. wink.gif

I'm sure this will be a rockin' seminar/workshop.

I've had some on again off again interest in doing film; in fact at my last wedding I shot a roll of tri-x, but haven't gotten around to getting it developed (I have no good labs close to home, anyone know a lab that I can mail it to?). If I can somehow get some chemicals at home and a film scanner, I will definitely consider making black and white film a more major player in my workflow.

Jon is a complete MASTER at what he does, and a super cool guy on top of it. I have no doubt that anything he involves himself with will be 1st in class.

Can't recommend this enough! Jon brought his whole set of gear to the Oakland OneLight. He's an amazing dude. I would go just to hear how he deals with print sales. Homeboy does it right.

Cheers,
Zack

Thanks Zack. I did not bring my whole gear. Did not really have the guts to lug around my 4x5 smile.gif

By the way, there are still plenty of spaces open if anyone is considering. We should be almost halfway full by the end of next week.

Also, a blog has been started to answer all the FAQ etc.

http://filmisnotdead.blogspot.com

and yes, as Zack stated, we'll definitely be going over print sale. Oh, how I love instaproofs.
juan candlasso
As of today, we are halfway full.

There are 6 spots left.

If you wanting to register, please send me an email titled "Film is not dead" and we'll go from there.

ALOHA!
