I have figured out how to get showit fast on my new mac, via the download off the site... but how do i do show it effects? I tried copying the folder into my mac version of CS3 but it won't work.... do I need to download it again or something?? thanks!!

Yup - Log into your account on the getit store and you can download another copy to install.

when i do this, it asks for my credit card info to check out... whats up with that? can't I just download it.... also I am trying to download effects 2.1... anything I am missing here?

I don't know why your credit card would be charged... you want to download the free demo (actually a full working copy that you have to enter a registration code for). Then enter your existing registration code that you bought for the copy you got with Windows and you should be set.

it doesn't work like that for showit effects... I never got a registration code (only for showit web). and it doesn't let me download a "demo"... it just goes straight to billing info and won't give me anything until I give my credit card info.

I am sorry to keep bringing this up, but I have tried everything and am getting very frustrated. I have emailed the support team numerous times, was told that I had been credited a balance in my account so I could download a new version of effects.... I have yet to receive the email with the link for that credit. I have been trying to resolve this for two weeks now. this is ridiculous. I have albums and photos that I have been waiting on because I wanted to use some effects on them.... Can someone fix this issue for me or give me a credit for effects (not in the showit store) so I can pick some different actions to aid in my post processing?
