Hey Everyone-

I finally got around to ordering a sample show-it dvd for my studio.

When it arrived I was a little disappointed in the overall quality.
Here are the things I was concerned about.

1. the black paper coated box it comes in is bubbling up in places...looks cheap.

2. the dvd has black marks on it...looks scuffed. (it's mainly white with my logo)

3. the dvd was floating inside it, not attached...one of the teeth to hold it seems have broken off.

4. the 4x6 print is on inkjet (photo paper would look way better) and not mounted to the folio...so when i opened it, it was floating around as well.

I guess overall I wasn't impressed. If I was a clients and opened up the product and saw it like this, I'd be dissapointed.

Is this just a fluke or have other of you had issues too? I really love everything else about it, the program, the actual show etc.

Thanks...

Oh! I am so sorry to hear that, I hope that the one's my client ordered arrived nice and neat. I will have to call and ask.

The only thing I've noticed thus far is that the CD is always floating on the inside - I always have to pop it in.

Hello Alexis,

Sorry about the problem with your DVD. Some of the issues you mentioned are beyond our control, the DVD was secured inside the case when it was shipped, but it sounds like the shipping took a little abuse if the center was broken and the DVD was floating around which would have caused the scratches. We have had this complaint only a couple times and we will send a replacement DVD, just submit a ticket or respond directly from your order from within showit-dvd.com.

The inside image is not inkjet, it is a Kodak thermal print on Kodak photo paper, so I am not sure what you are seeing there. We secure the image inside the folio with double stick tape, so if that was floating it sounds like your box took a lot of abuse. Again, we apologize for the problem, submit a ticket and we will take care of it. Thanks,

Todd

Sorry for the problems Alexis,

It does sound like you had an abusive mailman and that was the cause of most of those problems.

We will look into ways of better securing the disks/prints and protecting the packaging and thanks for letting us know so we can work on preventing it from happening again.

thanks for the quick responses...I was hoping this was a one time exeperience, since I don't want it arriving like that for my clients.

I'm not too familar with the Kodak thermal prints...it looked a lot like an inkjet to me.

No worries on getting me a new one...it's a sample for the studio. Just wanted to let you know how it arrived since presentation is so important!!
