Full Version: What kind of packaging do you use?
OpenSourcePhoto > Digital Photography > Misc. Photo Question

Just wondering what you guys use. Bags? Boxes? Envelopes? Where do you get them?

I found a local printing company that has a nice product but they require a min. of 500ct. That's too many for me.

Thanks for sharing!

have any of you used this company?

Don't want to hijack or anything but I'd really like to know where to get those metal cd/dvd cases...anyone? Not that I even give clients images on cd so it's kinda odd that I'm asking!! Anyways...Parker Pfister uses them to package his actions!

Yes, I just placed an order with them yesterday. I have only gotten their proof boxes, but I was pleased with the quality.

I started using pochette envelopes for 8x10 & under prints from paper presentation after a recommendation or two here on OSP. I LOVE them. I'll even post a few snaps if you promise not to make fun of my pitiful pics (they're SNAPS!). smile.gif

9x12 pochette with belly belt (also from paper presentation) + logo sticker from WHCC (did not remove the back of the sticker--just attached to belly belt so belt could slip on & off)

5x7 pochette with belly belt + WHCC sticker

11x14 box from wooden nickel

TAP wallet box from wooden nickel

Bazzill Mono Mini Album (freebie gift)

Diaper Bag Tag for babes (freebie--make them in house)

5x5 proof album from ProDPI

11x14's go into a sealed plastic bag from clear bags & larger prints are just wrapped in aqua tissue paper & tied with tulle (they remain in their clear bags from the lab for protection).

I deliver in a black gift bag from nashville wraps filled with aqua tissue and a logo sticker on the outside of the bag.

I use black boxes in the appropriate size from NPD Box (npdbox.com, I think). I put my logo sticker on them and tie with satin ribbon. smile.gif

They are simliar to luggage tags or ID's--the hard plastic--except mine are officially "diaper bag tags" & only go out to moms of small kiddos. I bought a binder from www.probinding.com. I have a template in PS where I can make 2 tags: image on one side & business card on back. Moms love these & they are great advertising b/c diaper bags go EVERYwhere. And they were a cheap investment averaging out at only about 15 cents each.

Someone told me that Millers prints stuff like these in house, in case anyone uses them.

Megan- thanks for info
LOVE the tags, think I will make some as gifts. I have some friends that travel like crazy and would be perfect gift for someone that has everything.
