Hey all,
I just joined the forum a couple days ago and think it is great...

I am 24 years old and have been doing photography since I was around 13 years old. I used to be heavy into art but dropped the brush once I seen how a camera could capture something in 1/200 of a second and looked better than what I was trying to paint!

I jumped into digital in 2002 with a Nikon D100 DSLR and did a bunch of freelance work around the area. I also met a wonderful girl (who I married!!!) who was into photography and I taught her everything I know. In 2006, I started my own business with my wife called Michael Alan Photography. We mostly shoot weddings and lifestyle photography but every once in a while I get odd gigs for band photography or a First Communion... I also owned a D200 before making the switch to Canon. We currently have a couple 30D's, 580EXII's and lots of glass.

I might add that I literally know three photographers from Buffalo, and they're not wedding photographers.....I don't even have someone to recommend in Buffalo....until my friend moved back from LI. So glad to see you giving a shot at bringing it up out of the ashes.

I think Buffalo needs more than a wedding photographer to bring it out of the ashes however!
We are just trying to (eventually) offer the same caliber of wedding photography as all the big names in the industry (for the East Coast obviously)

I have been looking for some Buffalo photographers but never met anyone yet. Where are you fellow Buffalonians around? I am in Lancaster myself.
