24 years this guys been waiting for the growth to stop so they can do what I can only imagine would be very major surgery....with what sort of outcome? 24 years of gross disfigurement and MAJOR handicap....and how much ridicule? I just can't even imagine what it would have been like for him as a child.
This is the first time I have ever posted a reply like this. I'm sorry Ryan, but I'm just outraged at this .... I realise it was an attempt at humour, but this guy's not a freak, he's a person.
Never mind 'lighten up'. How about 'have a heart'?

Y'know, y'all are right. I allowed the alienation of the internet to overwhelm my empathy and that's not fair and not really too funny. I want to apologize for posting this article. If I could take it down I would, though perhaps keeping it up gives me something to think about.
