Shawn Reeder
Hi everyone,

I haven’t shared photos in a while because I’ve been so busy, but I wanted to share some of the awesome weddings and cool other things I’ve gotten to photograph this summer. So I’m going to start a couple new posts for each thing I want to share.
Hope you all enjoy!

First I want to share some photos from a new climbing route I shot on the south face of Half Dome in Yosemite in July. This is a historic new route, and we have a feature article coming out on it in Rock and Ice magazine this fall.

The climbers are Sean Jones and Sarah Watson. Sean Jones is a visionary rock climber, and I’ve had the pleasure to be the one who’s documented all his major ascents.

I’ll be giving a slideshow about our work together at The Village at Mammoth Lakes this sunday night if anyone’s in the area at 8:00.

You can also check out the slideshow here.

More on the Photolog.

Definitely am a Gabriel fan, and so is Sean Jones, the climber who named the route. And it is named after that song, plus other life experiences he's going through. He's actually the guy who really got me into Gabriel. He names all his routes off things that are meaningful to him, so his wife and kids all have routes named after them. And friends, family, and lots of songs and album names have become route names as well.

Cool, he is one of my all time favs too. My son is named Gabriel.
I think that Gabriel and Roger Waters are two modern day geniuses

Thats a great name for your son. I also love Waters, especially with Pink Floyd. Pink Floyd is probably the single biggest influence on my music.

Did I ever tell you I saw them play The Wall live?

Yep, last three shows Pink Floyd ever played together as a band in the US.

Seen them lots since then, plus a lot of the solo stuff. But nothing compares. It cost them $1 Million per night to put the show on (back in 1980)

I actually have a piece of the original Wall.

Gabriel sat next to me once to start one of his shows, and walked over my head through the audience another time.

All mind blowing experiences!

Awesome Frank!

I saw Floyd once (but without Waters) in 94 on the Division Bell tour and it was amazing!!

I am so completely insanely jealous!! Pink Floyd and Peter Gabriel are my old favorite and my forever favorite artists. (Pink was my first, PG is my #1 FAV FOREVER!!)
