Hey all, I got back to KC from my trip back home to MA, which was a personal/business trip for me. I had the opportunity to shoot second at a Cape Cod wedding for a really cool photographer, and my wife and I did some fun stuff on our own on other days. One thing that stood out was the difference in temperature; out here in MO it's been 100 for the past two weeks, and in MA the highest it got was the low 80's.

We got into Boston Wednesday and we just walked around the Public Gardens, Boston Common, and hit part of Newbury St, just enjoying the weather. Thursday we visited my hometown and didn't do much of anything. Friday, we went to the Cape and checked out some lighthouses and went to a beach in Eastham. I had my first lobster ever, which was fun, and strange considering I lived there 24 years. Saturday we drove up to Provincetown, where we walked around a bit before I started photographing. Sunday was the best; we went to Martha's Vineyard, rented a scooter, and visited several towns on the island. Monday we just dropped by our respective colleges just to visit and now we're back.

Being from MA, there's a lot I miss about home; there's some stuff I don't miss (traffic, higher cost of living), but there's so much cool stuff to see and do that I somehow missed out when I was living there and I regret not having access to that now. I'm sure there's cool stuff to do in the KC area, I just feel like it isn't as vibrant here, but I may just have my rose-colored glasses on.

Anyway, I had a great time, got to relax, got to take some awesome photos, both personal and professional, and hopefully have my fuel cells recharged. I'll be posting various photos from my trip, so stay tuned!
