I'm so confused about my new camera. It must have been made down-under because the lenses all turn backwards and it's got such a different name. So strange! wink.gif

Welcome to the "Light Side"

If you note, the lens turns the same way as a Hasselblad's. You're no longer backwards.

We'll see if anyone else figures out what camera you got! wink.gif

I love it! Awesome hint! And welcome to the club. Isn't that camera AMAZING!

I've been thinking about switching over for a while, but it was a lot easier of a decision after testing the Mark III out for a few days. I picked up my own yesterday with the new 580 II flash, 16-35 and 50 1.4 lenses. I'll be renting the 70-200 until I sell my nikon version. Anyone interested in buying it?

This camera is just phenomenal in low-light situations at high iso, especially compared to my D200.

Off to San Antonio!

Yeah, I don't know why Nikon did it that way from the beginning. They're backwards from everything else in the world, including other cameras. Focusing is backwards, too. I don't know about zooming because I've only had a zoom lens on a Nikon -- never for the FTb or AE1.

And if I could afford it, I'd take you up on the 70-200. I'm renting one again for next week.

I'm excited because I've been doing a lot more moody night photos with my couples.
You can check out my first photos with this camera at http://www.jeffersontodd.com/slideshows/katieandrew/

I picked up the camera and lenses on the way to the wedding and charged up the battery at the salon. So everything after the salon is with the new Mark III.

I knew you'd come around.

So if I give you a lil' credit for converting me to Mac, do I get any credit for helping you see the light? laughing.gif
