Full Version: Does CS3 really work THAT much better on a Mac...&

Hello,

I posted this in the Post Processing area (in a nut shell, asking if you can upgrade from Elements to save $$): http://www.opensourcephoto.net/forum/index...showtopic=16807. I have my answer in that yes, you can - at least I know I can upgrade from Elements (3,4, or 5) to CS3; so I gotta' hope that would work for CS2.

Next Question - Does CS2 really run that much slower on a Mac? I just bought an iMac and would want it to run smoothly.

Any advice?

Thanks so much!

You really don't want to run CS2 on an Intel Mac. If it's a G5, you'll be fine.

I ran CS2 on my macbook pro and didn't notice a slow down compared to my pc. When CS3 came around I found the speed I had been missing all along working on a PC.

Definitely worth the $ long term. Much more functionality, much more speed. Much more fun...

oh my gosh the difference is just unbelievable. with cs2 i sometimes had time to go downstairs and get a beer. seriously. with cs3, it just whizzes through.
