People really don't understand how smart and quick-witted Shaq can be. He is also a really generous person too -- and not in a fake "Hey watch me give the underprivileged kid something" way. He used to go through the poorest neighborhoods in LA on Christmas and hand out toys (think Playstation 2, etc) he paid for out of his own pocket.

BTW, I hate his style of basketball but respect him a lot as a person.

Amen to that. He's not a gifted film actor though his interviews are hilarious if you pay attention to the subtext. The man is an entertainer and a gifted athlete.

I got this in an email newsletter today. It's talking about stock photography marketing, but it's still applicable.
