We have met someone who is willing to be a model for a TTD session - perfect for it - but of course since we arent a bridal shop we don't have a dres laying around.
How do those who have done this convince a bridal shop to let you take one of their dresses out to get "trashed" for a day? Do you pay to get it cleaned? Do they have "seconds" that can't sell that they are willing to let you take and get all dirty?
We really want to put this together but need someone to allow us to use a dress for the day.
We will be doing a couple in the next few months with our past brides who want to have one of these sessions, but we want to do this one for her and for our portfolio as well as help a bridal store or dress designer.
Any thoughts? Thanks!

go to second hand stores or consignment stores you can usually find them for CHEAP there.

I can assure you that no bridal shop will be willing to loan you a dress for a TTD, but you can pretty much do whatever you want if you buy it.
I purchased mine from ebay, but lots of ppl find them in thrift stores

Just heard back from a dress designer I did a photo shoot with last year for her website - she has a line she is discontinuing and is willing to let us have one to trash away!! The problem now is our model is a size 0 and we have to see if she has one in that size.
If not, then i knew we might have to go the thrift store route. We already have one from a thrift store but it's already been trashed.
Thanks all!

David's Bridal also has a selection of gowns for $99 in most stores.
