This is a family that is dear to my heart. This is my best friend since first grade and her family. Her Husband is stationed in Germany and she is home while he serves in Iraq. We took these the day before he left. She wanted portraits done in the studio. I tried these three with some textures tell me what you think...

Personally, I'm not a huge fan of the textures in these. I think it makes them look worn - but not in an intentional way, does that make any sense?! I like what it does to the backdrop in the last image, but I would take it out of their skin in all 3 of them, it may help. But I think they will be cuter as clean traditional shots.

i agree no textures. i personally do like the trend, but it's only good on certain types of images and on classic studio stuff..... i just don't like it.

Textures are the new Diffuse Glow.
That being said, just like Diffuse Glow, they create a style that some people like (that "misty memory" look). Show them both.
