David,
I saw in one of the mass chimping photos a shot of your flash with an interesting diffuser on top. What is it that you use?
thanks,

Haha...

You might have seen either the Stofen Omnibounce or Fong's new Lightsphere 2 PJ - I just used the LS2PJ for the first time last weekend and it worked out pretty well, even though I just have a beta version, but I hear he has improved it a bit more before he'll be selling it.
Here are some pics from the wedding...and I wrote more about it on the OSP blog site so be sure to check that out.

Ok...cool...that was the LS2PJ....it's less visible than the LS which is really nice b/c I always thout the big white plunger was a distraction so I never bought one...but the new version isn't bad at all!

OK, you guys are forgetting the great reasons to use the LS2. A tip jar. People try to see how many coins they can flip into there. A water bowl for those hot summer days. An attention-getter for when you need people to look at you and not the six million other cameras.
And, the light looks great!

I have an omnibounce...is there any reason to look at the LS PJ?

Absolutely! It really is different. A little more light loss but with fantastic results. Works kind of like a lumiquest 80/20 (if you know what that is), but really, it's much better. You can use it outside at night with the dome on and the results are really good. Of course, the LS2PJ doesn't have a dome to put on. ;-)

I love the LS, I will order the PJ one when it comes out! Can't wait to use it.... although I only use it in the reception, for the rest of the pre day formals I shoot with available light and or direct flash no diffuser.

On Gary's forum people were saying that's how they'd recognize others to meet up with them at conferences. They'd have two of the domes on their chest.

I used my LS at a wedding Saturday night with great results. The more the beer and wine flowed, the more "diaphram" jokes I got. Geez...

Where will I be able to pick up the LS2PJ? Will B&H have it or someplace else?
Thanks,
Garrett

You'll be able to get it at Gary Fong's online store. Go to garyfong.com and there should be a link to the store at the top of the page.
