I got 8 identical e-mails from millionbrushes.com, a canvas company in ISTANBUL! I hesitate to reply because that often encourages more.

Is anyone else getting these? If so, how do you think they found you? (FYI, my personal e-mail address is not posted on my site.)

Funny, I got one this morning from them! I was wondering the same thing, how did they find me??!

I only got one, not eight, I have know idea how they got mine, but I read it, and then trashed it.

Who is this guy and how did he find my personal e-mail address? Man, I hate that. I'm so careful about opting out, but maybe one slipped through the cracks.

I have been receiving these pesky little emails myslef. I tried to opt out but it didn't work. After receiving email confirmation that I was off their list, I got another one 2 days after and I've been receiving them 2 or 3 times a week.

Something needs to be done with spam mail!

we get them all the time! are any of you members of WPPI? seems after i joined, we have received 20-30 spam emails a day.

We get them from them all the time. I marked them as junk several times, so now I think they are usually filtered out. We get tons of spam, but most of it goes directly into a junk folder that I delete each day, anywhere from 300 to 600 per day.

I get them too from million brushes... and a lot of other spam. I only get about 20 a day though... I get the same ones in both my personal and business acounts. I always wondered how they got both my addresses. I could see one or the other, but both?

I get them too. They are coming in off the email address that I have posted on my website and blog. I would assume they are picking the addresses up off your site as well. I use a different address to post to forums so it rules that out.

I have to wonder what they gain from spam. I get all this junk as well any out it goes. I set up a gmail account to use for filtering. That has saved me half an hour a day.

opening them is bad. once you open it, they get a receipt which verifies its an authentic email address... and so it begins....

I agree, but in this case I took a leap of faith and e-mailed the guy asking if he would remove me. He replied saying he would.

I haven't received another one from them for a few weeks now.

I realize I shouldn't necessarily believe him, but they do seem to have stopped.
