I wanted to share some images from a couple of "Operation: Love ReUnited" sessions that I had recently. These two families are good friends and the guys are deploying together for about 9 months (3 months of that is training here in the states).

As a military wife whose dh is currently in Iraq, these sessions are very special to me. I know first hand what these families are sacrificing and it feels great to be able to give them these special images to treasure forever...smile.gif And the families are so very thankful.

If you haven't already and are able, please think about giving back to our military community by doing sessions for deploying troops. You can read more about the Operation: Love Reunited organization on their website. www.oplove.org.

I'm certainly open to any and all cc...here's my own crit...I definitely needed a hair and/or kicker light for some separation, but was working in cramped base housing. Working on location, sometimes the space is quite limited.

These images rock, hair light or not. This is awesome. Once I retire from AD Mar 08 (i.e., i'll have time!) I'll definitely look into supporting this as well.

thanks for posting!!

Michael...are you stationed at Scott? I met my husband while he was stationed there almost 11 years ago...I'm from that area. He had just come from a remote in Korea.

Yes! We're finishing up our military career here at Scott. I thought I would be flying airlines now, but my path has taken a serious turn towards the photography. I couldn't be happyier, actually.

I hope your husband is doing great and staying safe! One of my good friends just deployed for a year to flight instruct in Iraq.

Michael...Scott is a really nice base. I really like that area too...I miss it. We've got about 4 years before retirement...not sure if we'll move again before that. We've been here at Patrick for about 2 1/2 years. We would really like to go overseas before retirement, but not sure we'll get the chance.

Scott (my dh) is in doing well and is as safe as you can be in Baghdad. smile.gif We've got about a month and a half left.

what a beautiful idea. the images are wonderful! i know they will always treasure these and i am sure their families love & appreciate the photos as well.

i'll certainly be looking into adopting your concept at our next assignment. we are at a training base right now, so there are very few people who deploy from here.

[air force wife chiming in. my husband just signed away the next ten years of his life in exchange for pilot training. tongue.gif we get to find out what plane he will be flying & "our" next assignment in three weeks.]

Ahhh...assignment night. Cool! Hope he get's his choice! That brings back memories. I went through training at Vance AFB, OK. Class 91-11. smile.gif Wound up in the KC-135 and then trained pilots and instructors in the T-1.
Good Luck!
