You got some great shots, I really like the last one. One of my favorite things about this year has been how much I have learned and grown with every wedding or portrait shoot I have done. I'm sure you have been going through the same thing, and OSP has been such a huge help to me.

major improvement! I don't like the heavy use of vignetting on the pics, but that's a pp issue, so less to do with your lighting and such. I think the only thing that bothers me here is that she has the same expression in all of the photos - no serious ones, nolaugh out loud funny ones. You said she was nervous, so that's probably a good bit of it, but I like to see some variety to show her personality!
The tilt on the second to last one is a bit extreme, and her foot being chopped bothers me. Same with the one before it.

The zipper on #7 is a little distracting. Personally, I'm not a fan of the white vignette. Good work with the exposures and compositions! A lot better than a previous post of yours I just looked at. Way to go!

i see a big improvement too. Watch the way she is standing and sitting. Tall backs are generally more flattering. Make sure to not cut off one foot. That is just my preference, some may disagree. i am a big fan of smiling in each of my photos so that really doesnt bother me. just try to get them to relax. I chat my head off with them. i show them what i want and sometimes act dorky.
good luck keep shooting!

very nice, you have some good results. I too am distracted by her zipper, that was the first real critical thing I noticed.
She photographs really well, and one suggestion that I would make is to catch your subject not always looking or smiling for the camera, a couple of shots like that are great don't get me wrong everyone wants a great photo of themselves like that, but some of my favorite portraits are when the subject is not even aware the camera is there.
I agree on the vignetting, it may be a tad much, and I think I just prefer a dark one compared to white...thats just me.
I have seen some of your other posts and you are really improving, so bravo, good job and keep it up.

I don't know man, her collar is all wrong

No really, these are great. Other than the nervous smile, I really like 1 & 4. Keep it up.

Hey Matt,
As far as Vignetting, go black instead of white, I think you'll get more people to like it!
These look good, the zipper distracts me too, but also the one that's flipped bothers me too

definitely an improvement, good work. Don't you just love OSP.
a couple of suggestions.
1. watch the tilt.
2. keep those hands and feet in the frame on full length shots. cutting off at ankles and wrist is bad.(something i struggle with)
3. keep shooting shooting shooting.

Your lighting is soooooooooooo much better.
I did notice that you mentioned "vintaging" versus "vignetting"
Vignetting is creating the white or black shaded area around the outside of the photos. While the white vignette definitely has its place, I would reserve using it only on photos with a light background.... Such as #6 & #8 ... with black vignettes for the darker or more complex backgrounds.
Congrats on the progress

Nice job. Some of the best advice I've received (I'm sure it wasn't original): Dig a hole, or get a ladder.
