Wow, I feel like I'm having to start over to some extent. I think I need to sit down with the instruction manual and really go through the white balance issues cause the images are really weird. I was assuming right out of the box the white balance would be pretty good but it's horrible. I've had to really work the temp over in DPP and PS. I had another major strike against me. You won't believe this but the only lens I had was my old Tamron 18-200DI2 Can't exactly turn back when you realize your bag is at home 4 hours into the trip! Anyway, here's what I got with what I had.

Like wedding photography, it can be really hard shooting a place or a thing that has been photographed a million times before, but that's our challenge isn't it? Shoot creatively. If you want to see the slide show with the whole crew of us, it's here: Yosemite 2007

Awesome! Love the toned images. And the first was is my favorite. Looks pretty good for a Tamron, especially one with that range. So how you liking that camera?

I used a tamron 18-200 for my first couple years. It's an amazing little lens for the price. Just put it away if you head inside. sllllllow.

Mark I'd say you got some great shots, I really like the reflection shots; and the deer.

Tamron is amazing for the price. I love my 90 mm 2.8. Sometimes I even pick that up over my 85 1.2 mm just for weight relief. Wishing I had the Mark III, I just have issues with the focal length factor. So hard to get used to that when you use a full frame camera like the 5D smile.gif Might have to jump in though, the noise is so great on the Mark III (or lack thereof).

I'd never guess you had WB problems or that you didn't have the lens you wanted. Great images! clap.gif
