Earlier tonight I unplugged my laptop and external hard drive to move to another room. When I reconnected my hard drive, my computer said there was an "unrecognized USB" drive. And now I can't find my hard drive anywhere on my computer!

Here's my specs:
Dell Inspiron E1705
Windows XP 2002
Maxtor brand "Personal Storage 3200" 500 GB Hard Drive (purchased in March 07)

I called a good PC friend of mine and he said to play with plugging in my firewire cord and trying to enable it and disable it under "system". I've tried both. Nothings working! I'm very frustrated and would rather not have to go to Best Buy tomorrow morning for their Geek Squad to help. I think I need a driver download or something. Can anyone help me?

Do you have another computer you can try it on?
