just had a senior shoot with my friend josh, i think i did better of facial lighting in this one than the last, it was taken in the same general area though.

i know light is a bit intense in the third but someone said here that i should concentrate on the face, not the background

Matt, I think you did a great job. My favs are 3 and 5. One thing to look out for is clothing. That unbuttoned collar flipping up is really distracting to me. He either needs to button it or loosen his tie or something...but always a good thing to iron wink.gif Keep it up, your doing great.

lol uh oh i think you may have just sparked a downward spiral known as the wardrobe/photographer debate in my first senior thread.

i think they are great but the second one needs a little color correction, and its really dark, the last two are my favorite

glad to see you're still shooting. and improving. i agree, the collar should be buttoned, or lossened. one of the first thing s that caught my eye in the first shot. number two is two dark. number three is by far my favorite. love the angle, the lighting, the background, his smile. it's a solid shot. the one in front of the dirty wall doesn't work...like in the last shoot. it doesn't come across as cool...but more like a nice kid in front of a gross wall. the angle in the last shot is a little much for me...but i like the direction you were going with that shot.

overall i think you did a good job. the locations seem to be pretty diverse...as are his poses and your compositions. so that's good. keep shooting and keep sharing.

the last one is my fav, he looks relaxed and has a great smile. Try to watch out for the small things. they will really be distracting to some and its better to just try and watch for detail. the other thing to watch out for is cutting off fingers and such.

keep trying its really improving.

these are really great!

I think they are all great! I do think the second one needs some fill light, but I can't say much about that because I bombed my lighting at my last wedding...sigh!

Honestly, besides that second one needing fill light, I think these are wonderful!
