I am in the process of upgrading my entire computer system. I just ordered a Mac Pro quad and I thought I wouldn't have the means to get a new monitor at the same time. I have since convinced myself that I need to step in to the flat-screen world now.
I can spend up to $350 on the new unit. I feel like I have heard good things about Samsung monitors in the past. Do you know of any great monitors at a great deal? Of course the bigger the better, I feel like I will need at least a 19 inch.
Maybe there are thread about this sort of thing already here, but I can't seem to find them. I welcome fresh discussion as well as link to previous posts as well!
Thanks for the help!

The Gateway 22" is really nice - ChadB has one (I've calibrated it) and it looks great!
I have the 24" Gateway.

Thanks, that looks nice. I hadn't considered Gateway, sometimes I forget they exist!

I just upgraded my system and went to two 19" monitors (Acers) and went back to my CRT (lacie Blue) because I could not get it to calibrate right.

I know it is a little more, but what about a 20" refurb Cinema Display from apple.com?
We also use a ton of the NEC 1970NX 19" LCD's Very nice diplays.

We've got three 24" Dell LCDs for our workstations and love them. Pair it with an inexpensive 19" to put all your palletes on and it saves a tone of time when processing.

i compared it to a viewsonic, and hp & a gateway they had on display, after comparing the specs, i had to with the LG

Check out the new Samsung 24" I just got it and it's nice, no problem with color and the 3000:1 contrast ratio is great.
