I dont know where to post this and at the moment I am in a bit of a fog. We have a wedding in 3 hours and my husband had a siezure while I was up getting ready. He was in bed and didnt hurt himself but when he has these from time to time it messes with his speech and his muscles.
The long story is on the sidebar of our blog but for now a quick backstory is that he had 2 brain tumors in 95 and 96. He was healed of that but has seizures which are managed by dilantin. Last night he took his meds but he had a breakthrough siezure this morning.
I have to get things ready to go for this wedding with or without him so please pray that my daughter and son who work recently started working with us and I will be able to do this without him if need be.
He is sleeping right now hoping to get back his strength and speech.
We believe in prayer 100% so we would love it if you would send som our way this morning....
Thanks!!!

I am going to let him sleep another hour and see how he is then I will let you know. If I have time to check here we may be in a flurry to get out to the wedding. But I will definitely let you know one way or another at some point...Thanks Monica!

I cant tell you how emotional I am right now knowing you are praying. Its always emotional with these things anyway...brings back memories of when things were bleak.
But that isnt the case today. He is resting and eating. So I think after he gets a bit more rest he will be okay.
It is hard to watch what these things do to a person. At least in his case it causes alot of physical trauma for a while.
A big heartfelt thank you to all of you. I didnt want to post this on our blog since we alot of our brides and possible referals read our blog. So I am so glad there is a community out there OSP that I could trust and ask for prayer...
God bless....

Mark is up and eating which is a good sign. We are operating on its a go...Our son will be with Mark today while he is doing the groom and the groomsmen. While Lindsay will be with me and the girls....so if anything happens Brian can let me know. The guys are off site but not very far. I could be there in minutes. But I doubt that will be the problem if anything it would be abit of confusion and slow reaction time.
Jason, you and everyone have me choked up with your concern. I know many are out working today and so I wasnt expecting alot of readers. But this has really put a lump in my throat!
I think since we have 4 of us in the family that shoot (our kids are really just learning) we will be able to do this.
Thank you all!!! We leave in about 30 min. Whohoo!

We just got in from our wedding. We made it through, Mark soldiered through to the end.
It was rough at one point we were doing the formals and he accidentally knocked over my camera and it hit the cement. Watching my 5D and my 70-200 slip to the ground and crash with glass flying everywhere even made the whole family formal people sick.
All I heard was crash and a collective "oh no"!!!
Then later he knocked over a pink toasting glass that I think was the bride's...it crashed to the floor during the dancing....poor guy was done at that point but he stuck it out. Poor guy! He really should have been in bed and not working!
I want to thank you all for your prayers and thoughts!!! Mark is already in bed and I am headed there now!

You are all so awesome!!!!! You absolutely touched my heart today and helped us through a rough spot!
Big group hug to you all.............

Kerri, I just saw this, I'm glad you guys made it though, and will be able to rest today. I wish I had known about this, Chris and I would have been happy to help you out! Please feel free to contact us if anything like this happens again (which of course we are all praying it doesn't)
I will be praying for Mark and the family that you all can relax and recoup from your long day, and Mark's body and heal and he can get his strength back.

Awww thanks you guys! It was rough but we made it through. Only by the grace of God and prayer!!!
We are resting up and heading into the digital darkroom to see what we got! I want to make sure my camera and lens didnt sustain any real damage. It seems like everything still worked but ya never know!
Thank you for offering to help that really rouches the heart!

Thank you Rowena! He is looking pretty scruffy today. I think he needs a few days to recover from so much in one day! He is looking through the images as we speak but I think once he does that he is going to have to take a nap before our prospective bride shows up at 3. I dont want her taking a look at him and running the other way! lol!!!
So that would be awesome to know that someone is still praying!
Bless you....and everyone!!!

My goodness, what a lot to go through! Mark is really amazing to push through and work when he felt so badly. What a guy.
How awful to lose your camera and lens, but that's what insurance is for, and I'd take a husband any day over the equipment.
I hope he's feeling better soon, and you, too!

Hey Kerri, it's my pleasure to be able to pray... take Chris and Jen up on their offer, they are giving people whom I'm sure is willing to help in whatever.
You take care of yourself too and please give us an update when you get time.

Libbie....YES, me too... I take my husband over equipment any time!! I was in shock but I felt bad for him.
If I turn it into insurance it would be a wash really. It was a Sigma and I paid 500 for it from a friend....so...I'll just live with it the way it is...poor thing looks like it went over a cliff! lol!
Jen and Chris...you guys are so sweet...we are taking the weekend off and letting Mark recuperate. I just thank God it looks like it was just a 24hr bug as opposed to a week long one!
We really got to get together!
We found a really cool place for some TTD shots but its in Nevada. We are going to go sometime but havent nailed down a time. If you guys are up for it we could stay at our timeshare in Tahoe and drive in from there.
Let us know if you are up for it! I'll send over some shots of the place and see what you think.
Kerri
Thanks so much for your hearts!!!

I know we all keep saying it, but we REALLY DO need to get together soon! That TTD up in Nevada would be fun, not sure if we would be able to do it anytime soon though since baby Bella is due in October. Unless we want a little munchkin

I though of you guys Friday. I took Aiden to Jamba Juice in Roseville, and I saw your son working there, I remember seeing his pic on your xanga and I recognized him. I didn't say anything to him though, I didn't want to look crazy!

Actually we arent in a hurry so no worries there I am sure it will still be there whenever you are ready...
I gotta find a picture of the place for you...it was on this guy's MySpace that I met at one of our weddings. I stopped in to check out his photography and saw this place!!

I am in total awe of the many people who responded to my wifes rewuest for prayer - this is such a great forum, and i want to let you all know that the power of prayer definitely was with me on Saturday.
I've had a few seizures over the past 10 years. I had a brain tumor 10 years ago, had surgery and when it started to grow back I was healed byGod in such a way that there is no doubt it was his touch...Our blog has a link on the left to the pdf with the full testimony if you are interested.
What I'm leading up to is that in the past when I've had a seizure it has pretty much wiped me out for the day, so to be able to rest, get up and go shoot a wedding would not have been possible without His help. And to top it off, I also had the flu! That stuck around until today and I hope it decides to not overstay it's welcome....
Saturday was a painful blur, but this was one of our very favorite weddngs and one we were looking forward to this wedding season, so I wouldn't have missed it! I'll try to get some pics up on the blog soon - she was gorgeous and had a cage veil - our first! And the guys were so much fun. There is so much to love about their wedding, but i'm rambling on.
THANK YOU to everyone who responded. Your prayers certainly helped me, and your posts certainly encouraged my wife.
