Wow! This is really cool Denise! I really want to give one of these a try.

I've gotta know....

What did the the curious onlookers think of the girl in the fountain? I can only imagine I would have had some sort of security or police on site within minutes scolding me.
denisen
people were whistling, kids were watching.....guys on bikes nearly ran into each other because they were looking at us........no police were called.....
kids play in this fountain all the time and the homeless sleep near here to....so the
police don't mind, we weren't hurting anything...just having some fun!!!

It was so much fun!!!! Just show your senior the let's get trashed site and
they will want to do it too!!!!

Actually I did, and she went nuts over the idea, called all her freinds, and they all want to do this.

I'm hoping to make some time for it by the end of the summer - got a lot of things happening right now.

One of the biggest things I'm having trouble with in this idea is that I'm a 20 something guy. Just picture that. Plus a girl in a very good looking dress - "looking hot" - in the water, in the fountain...... you know what the passer-bys are thinking. Know what I mean?

Pretty innocent stuff but perception is everything. Add to that every single time I'm "not hurting anything" and simply pointing a camera around, the Man shows up. I've had more conversations with private security kicking me out of public places than I can begin to remember. I can only imagine the direction of the questioning as I'm handing a towel to a sopping wet 17 year old climing out of the fountain. laughing.gif

Still not sure how to direct that. We've got some great little creeks and washes out here in the desert where people go tubing which are out of town a bit - I was thinking of going there on maybe a tuesday night at sunset when nobody will be around and maybe bringing along another female photographer or a big sister of the girl or something. Bringing mom would be safe but really ruins the whole thing. I'm not going to get little miss sexy to play and have fun with mom griping about the ruined dress - it's one of those semi rebellious things the girl gets to do and it looses all its mystique to have mom present.

Nothing is ever easy. Maybe I'm just over thinking it. wacko.gif

fantastic!!! love the shot of her on the tree roots...and the fountain shots are great. very fun.

YOur overthinking Kev.....
I invited 5 other photographers to come out and play with me...
I had 3 show up.....we had a great time......the senior also brought a freind....
that's what I would suggest for you....have her bring a friend and you bring
another photographer.......

Have fun!!!

Great points Kevin- I havne't done one yet either, but have a few scheduled. Hmmm, you almost hate for parents to come- but in this case, it may be good! (Or bring your wife/ girlfriend).

denisen
No...I don't think having a parent along is a good idea....,
most seniors don't like their parents to much.....thank goodness they
grow out of that...

I haven't read all the responses yet but... As Danise pointed out it can really be as simple as brining along another friend or assistant, and it should be a female about your age. Even if they do absolutely nothing but sit and watch. I understand your concern, it's quite accurate. It may not help with the security guards but it certainly cuts down on the odd looks from everyone else. I think parents appreciate it as well it shows good professionalism. It's unfortunate that we need to take these overprotective measures. I guess we can thank all those creepy freaks boxing.gif out there.
denisen
Thanks Tiffany........
