Full Version: Image Processing Workflows?

Ok, say that I take 1100 photos (RAW) at a wedding like I did this past weekend.

Using Capture One, I zip through the RAW files, deleting obvious crappy shots, fixing white balance/exposure etc...

I end up with about 675 shots that I would consider saleable.

I know that on all our websites, we have all these great LOMO'd photos, cool enhanced images and whatnot...

When you guys show your brides the "proofs", what are you showing her?

Mine are all adjusted, but not necessarily loaded with any effects. I create a favorites folder and then 'do up' those photos with more effects.
When the bride goes to view her pictures on Pictage, every photo that she sees has been adjusted in Camera Raw.

I would love to see the work flow for RAW but when I click on the link it, it doesn't work can you try putting up another link if possible. Thanks so much!

What I am looking for is something that is a step by step on what you do once you have put the raw files on your computer. Sorry to be so far behind all of you in this great computer/digital age. BUT Ia m ready willing and able to learn what you are willing to share.

You guys are all so great and so supportive and that is what makes OSP so totaly AWESOME!!

Thanks

About 95% of what I show is straight RAW conversions. Karen you can see my latest workflow tip at http://weddingphotographyproject.wordpress...p-the-workflow/

Hi Karen, I'm guessing that that post was lost in the crash of the forum. If you look the post above is from 2005.

I do the same. Those shots that really excite me I may work on some more to create a signature look.

all 700-1000 images are adjusted somehow with custom actions, but only my favorite 500 or so have lomo etc. and multiple customized actions that i created. it's so easy to apply them because of the editing tool i use, i never have to restart batch processes etc. so applying actions and effects is crazy easy and doesn't require my being in front of the computer.
