I'm a quick one

Really, these pics rock my socks off. Your stuff is oh-so-inspirational Scarlett!
You're so cute! Thanks again Sarah!

as always Scarlett, your photos are BEAUTIFUL!!!! I would have been so intimidated by having an entourage, sounds like it worked out well for you (and definitely didn't affect your creativity!)

LOL, yeah one of the first things she asked me was "My whole family will be here, that won't make you nervous will it?" But it didn't, I just saw it like a wedding day where the whole family was around. I was more nervous that they would freeze up with her family there, but I think it actually helped them b/c she wanted to show off all that much more.

Thanks! Yeah it wasn't in the original plans to shoot at night, or the rain, but it ended up being great!

Great night shots Scarlett! That looked like a LONG shoot!! I wish my clients had that kind of patience.
Unless you get scolded by a cop it's just not fun!

Great umbrella shot....
LOL, yeah that was DEFINITELY my longest engagement shoot ever. But they were the very first couple that booked me for photography when I was making the switch from video, so I didn't mind rolling out the red carpet for them.
Also, I was totally thinking of YOU during the umbrella shot and how you had told before that the best shots are in the street right after it rains and the way the roads are slick in the pic. So THANK YOU for that amazing tip!

Lucky for you, your entourage wasn't controlling the show- I've had one of those before and it was awful! Every family memeber was directing me in taking shots of what they thought would be great! AAGHH!!!
This one looked like fun- and you did a beautiful job! I love your style!!!
I KNOW, they were awesome and stayed in the background and just let me do my thing. I can imagine though how some moms might be uptight about running the show.

whoops

, love them the color is awesome!
Awesome, thanks! Yeah it was fun to play with lighting and all the fluorescent lighting around this one area of town.

Oh man- I subscribe to your blog so when I saw the e-mail this morning, I read where the whole family tagged alone. I felt horrible and thought you would hate me forever, lol. I've had to deal with a Mom and Dad on an engagement before, and that is a nightmare! (It was pretty funny because when the couple didn't want to be affectionate for the camera- Mom and Dad would want to show them how- ewww).
I'm glad to see that you turned it into a positive experience- the pics look great! I know they will be thrilled.
LOL.. no I wouldn't hate you! It was all good! Sorry to hear you had a bad experience. Yeah, ideally I like it to just be the couple so they feel comfortable being affectionate in front of me, butttttt, what can you do when mom and dad are paying? :-)
