Man this was the most fun I have had on a Shoot by far. I have been advertising on MySpace about band photography and getting the word out, well my old high school buddy Jake, I saw at a wedding Jen and I shot a month ago and we just starting chatting and catching up. Well i am not gonna lie but he is a very good looking guy and I asked him if he would be interested in letting me use him as a model for a shoot i wanted to do. he has totally the style I love to shoot. So we went to Old Sacramento and the a few other places in Sacramento, Like the Sheraton Hotel Lounge area ( which i might add is a sweet place to take some pics indoors), and then we went to the roof top of a parking garage as well. I was so jazzed about this that I could not wait to edit them, so when I got home I did just that. I went threw 400 pictures, edited them down to 128, the made the slideshow, uploaded it and sent it off in a day!!! Thats how excited I got!

Oh Yeah he loved them so much!!!! He came and go them today in fact.

Here's the quote he sent me today earlier in the day.

"Dude! You are the F...ing Man! Everything looks so good! Thanks Again. I can't thank you enough! How did you know how I felt about that song!?!?!?!? I will spread the word!"

He had told me as we were shooting that he listens to a certain band and so I found them online and put one of the songs to the slideshow and man it was awesome to hear that from him.

Dude these are AWESOME! You need to put some pic numbers on them though so we can rave about our favs. A few of these really jump out at me, but well, I can't count that high without numbers to prompt me.

This guy looks cool. I don't even know him, but I already know I'd like his music - great work!

Wow! Inspiring shots. Usually when I'm on a shoot I have music rattling around in my head and I it helps me get jazzed about a particular feel to a shoot. Looking at your shots, I have the music going in my head and I can't wait to get home and grab my gear and go out shooting. Great job. I am definitely flagging this shoot to go back to for future inspiration.

Chris, you should be so chuffed with these images. They really give you a feel of who this guy is which isn't always something easily achieved & not only that, the shots are great! You did GOOOOOOOD!!! I think you've found your calling I love the last two - so much attitude, so sexy too!

Thanks everyone. I want to do band stuff so bad but it will come in time. trying not to force anything with it right now, but I do have a feeling that my buddy will be spreading the word around to others with his photos. He told me yesterday that I am showing everyone these pics man! So we shall see but like the thread says "It's a start"

Chris...dude....those are amazing. #6 and #17(last one) are freakin ridiculous. I love all of them, but those are the ones that spoke to me the most.

Fantastic job. You should have no problem getting other bands/musicians to work with you once you get this work all over the place.

also love the one of him smokin' up against the red wall....they all rock.

AMAZING! I wish when I really love images that are posted I had more of a description to tell you what I like about them, but I don't.

If I did- I could write a book. You did an amazing job, definetly print (mag) worthy!

This should really boost your business, I wish I could tell you where to get exposure on these.

These are really very cool Stewart! Lots of original ideas here.... My favorite is the one by the freeway - it just seems to fit somehow. All of them rock though
