does this happen to anyone else? I will have a folder in Lightroom, and everything will be working fine. Then, I will come back to Lightroom at a later date, and suddenly, the photos are still there, but the "file is not found" and you are unable to do any editing or anything. Basically, the only thing I know to do when this happens is to delete that folder, and then import it back into Lightroom.
Really, I love Lightroom, really, I do. Until it does this to me. It is driving me crazy!!!! It has only done it about three times now, but in my opinion, that is three times too many!!!
Any advice?

Are the files on that computer or are you using them from another computer through a network? if that is the case make sure the Network is open. Lightroom as to be able to locate the files to be able to use them.

Are you on a pc or mac? The file is not lost unless you threw it away... basically it lost it's link. This prolly happens when you move/rearrange your files while in LR?

The files are on the computer...so it is not a network thing.

I am on a pc. I haven't moved or rearranged any files in LR.

That is what is so annoying! Absolutely nothing will change, I have not done a thing with files or folders or anything. Today I will work on the photos. everything will be fine. Then tomorrow, they will not be readable in LR. like I said, grrrrrr!

The only time I've had this happen was when I moved a file from one location to another--desktop to archive folder, for example. If that's not the case, have you tried reinstalling Lightroom? Sometimes things just get buggy.

yeah, I'm sorta starting to think it is just acting up, because I haven't moved around any files,,,,and I just tried to edit another folder, and I got the same message.

I have to say, I really really love the things Lightroom can do.....but this is just gonna make me go bananas if it keeps doing this!
