As I'm preparing for my second and third (I'll be doing a double shoot) trash-the-dress session in a few weeks, I'm overwhelmed at the creativity I see on OSP and other photographers on the web. And honestly, I'm a little jealous that so many girls out there are able to have kick ass images of themselves. And I thought to myself, "I've got my wedding dress from two years ago, why can't IIIIIIIII do a TTD session?" (In my best Varuca Salt voice)

So... anyone in South Georgia or North Florida interested? I'm up for anything!

So I've gotten an e-mail back from Tony, and he posed an interesting proposition... that maybe this could be a group thing?! As in, more than one photographer, kind of like what some of you did in Savannah a while back.

I'm moving to Valdosta next week and would love to do it if I'm around. I have a destination wedding coming up so I'm going to be gone for a while after I get there. If you need a model, let me know - I'm from there so I'm sure I could round someone up. I also have some dresses.

This really is turned out to be an awesome experience for everyone, huh?

If I can jump in - I can't do the weekend of Oct 13, or the last weekend in October. Other than that, without a job at the moment, I'm FREEEEEEEEEEEEE

In August - I'm free any time after the 10th with the exception of the 18th.

In September, I'm free anytime except for the weekends of September 1st and 15th.

I'm pretty slammed all weekends in October.

Weekdays are fine too.

I'm totally in - I'll see if I can round up some models for us, too. It depends largely on where we'll be meeting!

Kaitlin, I wouldn't mind sticking to a location in South Georgia, as the yuckiness (i.e swampland, farmland, etc.) is rampant. But, there's a lot of "South" in Georgia, so we could really go anywhere. Haha

Jill, I'd love for you to join us... and the fact that you could bring more models would be excellent. I might have to request that I go last in the modeling aspect so that I can capture some awesome images too!!

Everyone, what if we shoot for one day during either the weekend of September 22/23, 29/30. Then, depending on WHO is interested in attending, we can agree on a location that might suit everyone.

I've also thought of something... what will we do as far as images go? Would this be "experience for images" kind of thing, or something else? I guess that would be good to discuss too!

Oooohhhh...I just had an idea. A swamp would be cool - but what about Wild Adventures? There would be lots of awesome opportunities there.

When we did TTD in Savannah, the models received free images in exchange for modeling.

Wild Adventures could be AWESOME, and definitely different from what others are doing....! As far as I know, that weekend in Sept could work for me, too. I'm more than happy to give images in exchange for the experience....if there's agreement on the date, I'll ask a few recently-married friends if they're interested in modeling for us (if we want a couple of others - if that's okay)

Hopefully Carrie will chime in, too - she's down in S. GA and may have some ideas for cool places to shoot down there, too....

Moody AFB would be awesome ~ if we could get on the flight line.
Multiple "brides" maning a UH-60 with twin gattling guns is an image I would be going for.

I seriously doubt that it would be a possibility. Security on base is absolutely bonkers! My best friend's husband works on the C-130s... now THAT would make for some awesome backdrops!

BTW, do the September dates work for you?

September is good for me - except for Labor Day Weekend. Business becons in Atlanta at DragonCon. I am a Game Pimp. They are my peeps.

The majority of my local customers are all active duty military (my store is right across from Moody's south gate). Several of them are pilots - let me see what I can do. They might have a limit on how many people we can have at one time. I'll know something by Monday afternoon, and post to that effect.

Mission Lake on Moody would be a safe bet... the lake has gators though. But, I'm willing to take photos on the shore while someone wades out into that water.

I have a distinct feeling you will be in the company of my husband....unless I happen to be able to whisk him out of town!

Don't... DragonCon is an awesome opportunity for you to enhance your portfolio. With it's massive amount of costumers and cosplayers - you can easily get some impressive shots.

Considering the amount of 501st Imperial Storm Troopers who show up in full costume each year - THAT would be a sweet image. Imagine - one bride - escorted by the Emperor and Darth Vader. Surrounded by 20+ stormtroopers. I assure you - it's the HOTNESS.

Update:

I guess "amused" would be the best/diplomatic way to describe the reaction I got when I asked for permission to hold this on the base. Base security is even checking instructors going on the flight line with cameras now. Hey - it was worth a shot.
