I found out about this forum from Gary Fong's message board where I'm a semi regular member. I'm really excited by the community of photographers on here and I'd like to be a semi regular member here as well.
About Myself:
I'm a full time photographer based in New York City. I have a business office located on the 55th floor of the Empire State Building. I shoot 40+ weddings a year and I also photograph my own personal fine art photos which I exhibit in art galleries in NYC. I've been a serious photographer since junior high school. I'm a graduate from the School of Visual Arts in NYC and I've been shooting weddings since my sophmore year in college. I started out by working for one of New York's biggest wedding studios but eventually started my own wedding photography business within a year. My wedding work is inspired by Denis Reggie and Gary Fong (both of whom I've had the honor of taking seminars and workshops with).
Thanks guys for providing me with another great forum and outlet for me to spend time on and procrastinate more on wedding post production.

Welcome, Lina. Nice to see you here. You'll soon find that this board is a bit different from Gary's. Not necessarily better, but just different.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. I've shot over a dozen weddings the last two months so I'll be putting them up here for critique and I will try to post comments as much as I can.
Yeah this site is different than Gary's message board. I feel that Gary's site is filled with a lot of photographers who started out from his era. I feel that this site is populated with a lot of photographers that became professionals during the digital revolution in wedding photography. There's a lot of photographers here that are younger than me and the work here I see is very fresh. I love Gary's site still but I smile when I see posts on his site where someone says "back when I was shooting wedding 25-30 years ago....."
I'm happy that I found this site and DJ is very talented and innovative. I'm excited to be learning from this site.

Hi Lina,
I visited your college about 8+ years ago for the Society of Illustrators Awards when I had some friends accepted into the show. Your school is famous the nation over! I'm impressed with your work and your background

Hi Lina,
I liked your page and wow in the Empire State, I remember my only visit to New York in 88 with all my classmates, we went into the Empire State building and we saw Tom Cruise in his limo, lol.
Glad your with us.
