After shooting for about 1/2 hour, the rain returned - and we started getting wet. I took a towel and wrapped it loosely around the camera. Then, as we started to head for cover, my bare feet hit a little mud on a rock and I ended up on the ground. The camera also hit the ground on it's side. The bottom of the camera (which had a little cushion from the towel) hit the ground and the lightsphere also hit the ground (attached to the flash). The top of the lightsphere shot off the lightsphere itself. The combination of the towel and the lightsphere greatly reduced the impact and all of the equipment is still functioning properly.
My new 50mm 1.4 lens that was in my right front pocket (the side of my body that kissed the ground) also made it. I made it without a scratch or any bruises but I was much more worried about the equipment.
