I posted this over at the POTN forums and then remembered there was a special place at OSP for this sort of thing so here it is, were still newbies (10 weddings so far) so were happy to recieve any other tips for this!

Because we usually have at least one assistant at each wedding weve started to record video clips, mainly for our own self analysis and amusement but heres one from the weekend we have shared .... for your amusement. The original idea was to use some of these for marketing same as DJ but I think atm they are more use for picking us up on some stuff we do wrong and the odd bit we do right smile.gif

All C&C welcome and sorry for the not so good video quality and lack of audio, I am still getting the hang of doing this stuff on a Mac

Cheers for the nice comments guys, I made another today at my day job in between doing some boring installs.

This is a flower girl shot that we do and not everyone likes this shot (by this i mean other photographers) and I would agree that it sometimes doesnt work as well as it does other times but it always seems to go down well with the B&G and their families and so also sells well.

We usually shoot this prior to the ceremony when the flowergirl is still pristine and we are killing a few minutes before leaving the house/hotel, unfortunately that sometimes means that the flowergirl isnt yet allowed to hold her flowers but it works ok even without the flowers I think, you just need to position the hands in those cases.

Anyway this is another from last weekend and apologies for my monotone voice in it !

Added a couple more videos since I posted this, also hosting them all on youtube now rather than google video as it takes youtube less time to make them active.

The fireworks video is the latest one and it was an interesting one for us because we had never shot fireworks at a wedding before so a nice learning experience. Our shots definitely have room for improvement and theres a few things we will do differently next time based on what we learnt this time, but as ever with weddings its impossible to control everything and sometimes you just have to go with whats presented to you ... good fun anyway. I am sure I had a big cheesey gri on my face the whole time I was shooting.

p.s. Were the first to admit that were newbies at this so any C&C or ideas for other shots are most welcome .... then you may see it in the next video ! smile.gif
