anyone using a handheld light meter for weddings?? or do you find the camera meter sufficient?? pro's? con's?

Unless I really have to fly and don't have the chance to check... Handheld incident light all the way! The camera's light meter reads 18 percent gray reflective. If you have a dark background with a dark suit, then it will try to turn it in to 18 percent gray. If you have a white dress and white background, again 18 percent gray. If you use your camera meter alot, you had better understand compensation for specific circumstances. I think in the end the use of a light meter can determine the difference between an amature and a pro.

Have you calibrated your light meter to you camera? (Shade, bright light, cloudy etc.)
