Hello-
About a week ago I asked for a great lense for detail shots and got alot of responses for the 100 mm f2.8 macro..so I just bought it! Today the salesman called to ask what type of camera I was using and what I was going to use it for..I said weddings and that I still have a 20d..He said I was going to run into cropping issues and that my apeture would be bumped up to a f4..Am I going to be unhappy once I get the lense and does anyone use it with the prehistoric 20d??? Eventually I am buying a new camera, but I just checked under the couch cushions and...it will be alittle bit!

I think your salesman might have been drunk.

You should be very happy with it. It's on my want list for sure.

I've used mine with my back-up 30D (same crop factor as your 20D) with no problem. The lense is great for macro, and even portrait shots (on the 20/30D or the 5D). You'll love it.

I've used it on the 20D just fine. It's awesome for ring shots!!

Find a new salesperson. Or purchase through B&H.
