I first met Jennifer at a bridal show this winter, when it was -19 degrees outside (I'm serious!) and she was hopping around on crutches. Jennifer took a little break at my booth to rest her foot and check out the albums.

Well, the weather sure is different now than it was when we first met! It's lovely and toasty outdoors and we took the show on the road for Brock and Jennifer's engagement session!

Afterwards, we were going to go hang out at Ivanhoes for some icecream and eats, but it was so busy that we couldn't actually find seats.

I can't wait for their wedding -- it's going to be so pretty, and I know the reception will be a total blast!

Nice job Leann! I LOVE the last one! How did you light it? or did you?

Are Brock's legs like SUPER long or is it just perception? blink.gif

Thanks, Misty!

Yeah, Brock's legs are super duper long. They're both tall, athletic people, and I think the focal length of the lens and the camera angle accentuates the impression of loooongness.

I lit them with a 580ex on a stand, Strobist style.

Great shots and lighting!! Was that flash or natural light?

EDIT: Never mind, I just saw you answered it above!

These are amazing!!! My favorite is #4. The color in the last two is awesome, and the sky looks so beautiful. I loved them all.

Thanks Scarlett! the first three are natural light, and the rest are lit with a 580ex on a stand. I kind of wanted to play with the light, so I actually have others which I used a reflector for -- but the sun was so bright it made them squint pretty badly.

Thanks Roxanne!I did the post processing in LightRoom mainly, and then a little photoshop at the end to give it a little extra lovin'!

Thanks Jennifer! The sky in Indiana is nothing like you get in CA but it seems like if I light the people a little I can get the sky to come out almost as good. The clouds lately have been so yummy -- they remind me of cotton candy!

Dang Leann. Your stuff rocks!! How the hell do you get them crisp (sharp I mean). Beautiful. I like the second to last the best.
Lauri
Love that last one! You got the light just right, and a great captured moment too!

Hi Tony,

Thanks!

For sharpness... I use good glass, good light, and a Canon 5D... and then before uploading them to Flickr I sharpen them in photoshop.

Sometimes I like the out-takes almost as well as the keepers!
