Full Version: San Jose OSP'ers - Pixel2Canvas World Tour on Tuesday
OpenSourcePhoto > New Stuff! > Hot off the Press!
CanvasRox
We're starting our 2007-2008 World Tour!
If you're near the San Jose area, this Tuesday, July 17th, Pixel2Canvas will be at the
Marriott Airport Courtyard - 1727 Technology Drive - 408.441.6111.

CB will be flying around the country doing a series of "meet & greets" to get our canvases and new products in front of y'all. Plus, we'll have wicked cool t-shirts with our rockin' duck created by Aaron Johnson of What The Duck?, rock-n-roll rubber ducks, coupons and just all around fun to be had by all.

For those of you who don't know us, CB is my husband and manages the Production Department, among MANY other things. He's a photographer, I'm a graphic artist, and together we schemed up this really cool venture called P2C.

Why The Road Show?
We've been to the trade shows, we've even done a few, but what sets us apart is our unique partnership approach. We consider our final product to be the ultimate artistic expression of your art and our art. We're just different, and the best way we can show you is by sitting down with you and talking about your art and how we can best realize it on canvas, custom papers or whatever medium you're interested in. It's all about the ART!

So come and sit a while, nosh a bit, and learn what really sets P2C apart from the low priced labs and volume canvas printers. Come get to know us. We feel confident that once you know us, we'll become good friends...and partners.

First Stop: July 17 - San Jose, CA
Our first stop is on July 17th at the Courtyard Marriott in San Jose California. There will be two sessions, one at 10:00 a.m. and one at 1:00 p.m. Each session will last about an hour with time afterwards for questions and to view our traveling gallery. Light fare will be served at both sessions.

If you can't make one of the sessions, feel free to come in between and see our products and ask your questions. I mean, we went out and bought him new clothes just for the trip! At least come and tell him how good he looks. *grin* If you want more information, send an email to Roxanne@pixel2canvas.com our check out our blog at www.pixel2canvas.blogspot.com .

Boston in the plans???

As a matter of fact, yes! Next year we'll be coming out to Boston! I'm not exactly sure WHEN - but yes - it's on our tour schedule. I've never been myself - when's a good time of year to visit Beantown?

Along with Atlanta GA, Chicago IL, some part of VA, and a couple of stops "in the middle". *snerk* We're still throwing darts at the map. laughing.gif

Anyone else? Where would you like to see our ducks land?

Don't you worry Tony - I'll have plenty of shirts! Basically they have our logo on the front, and the World Tour artwork - it's my avatar - on the back. I love them! laughing.gif

OKAYYYY.....

By popular demand, I'm posting a few photos of the BAD@$$ canvas that I picked up from Curt yesterday at the P2C Get Ducked World Tour.

This is a 24x43" Canvas of an image I shot a couple of weeks ago of my friend's 1929 Fleet biplane. No photoshop work, except for the resizing done for the print (remember folks, you only need to submit a half-sized file for P2C to print! Yay!)

The print was originally intended for my new bedroom, but I couldn't imagine hiding it in there, so I hung it in my living room and now it is visible from every part of my apartment!

For size reference, that is a 40" LCD TV that sits about 2-1/2 feet away from the canvas.

Images don't do this thing justice, but here they are:

That's a cool shot, Trevor. I'm sure the photos don't even do it justice...
CanvasRox
Trevor - it looks GREAT!!!! This is one of the coolest shots - I just wish people could see what it REALLY looks like up close and personal.

Thanks so much for posting it - I love seeing the canvases where they "live"!

All the best,
Roxanne
